Travis W. Trueblood is the founding partner of the Trueblood Law Group, P.A. His firm, which has offices in Davie, Florida, Moore Haven, Florida and Washington, D.C., practices in the areas of Indian law, civil and criminal litigation, real estate, agricultural law, corporate law and government relations.

Mr. Trueblood, who is an enrolled tribal member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, earned a Bachelor's degree in Communications and a Bachelor’s degree in American Studies from Florida State University (FSU). He earned a Juris Doctor from FSU College of Law and a Masters of Law in Real Property Development with cum laude honors from the University of Miami. He recently earned a Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Real Estate Finance from FSU.

Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Trueblood was a special assistant to Florida Republican Governor Jeb Bush at the Florida Governor's Council on Indian Affairs and his predecessor Democratic Governor Lawton Chiles and served as a law clerk to the Honorable James J. Joanos at Florida's First District Court of Appeal.  Mr. Trueblood also served as a special arbitrator for the State of Florida Division of Condominiums.

Mr. Trueblood has other career experience as a staff writer for the Lakeland, Florida Ledger Newspaper and as an independent consultant to several Florida association management firms.

Of the more than 70,000 attorneys admitted to practice in Florida, Mr. Trueblood is proud to be counted amongst the handful of Native American attorneys. He is also admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, several United States District Courts and Appellate Courts, and numerous Tribal Courts.

Mr. Trueblood is a member of the American Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, the Native American Bar Association, and the District of Columbia Native American Bar Association. Mr. Trueblood has served the legal community as past Chairman of the Agricultural Law Committee for the American Bar Association’s Solo, Small Firm and General Practice Section. He also served as the past Vice-Chairman for the Litigation Committee for the American Bar Association’s Solo, Small Firm and General Practice Section.  Mr. Trueblood remains active on the American Bar Association’s Diversity Committee and is a fellow of the American Bar Association.

In the community, Mr. Trueblood is a volunteer for the Florida Indian Youth Program and an active alumni mentor for the National Native American Law Student Association. Mr. Trueblood and his firm proudly donate numerous hours annually to the needs of the pro bono community in Florida and at-large, serving as a specific legal point of contact for Florida’s Native American community.
